Both DE-CIX Munich and DE-CIX Hamburg are increasing their reach by establishing a new enabled site each. In Munich we are partnering with NTT Global Data Centers and in Hamburg with Equinix.
NTT Global Data Centers’ Munich 2
From the beginning of December, NTT Global Data Centers’ state-of-the-art Tier 3 data center Munich 2 will be a new DE-CIX-enabled site. NTT customers will be able to benefit from access to all of our interconnection services including DirectCLOUD and our recently launched Microsoft Azure Peering Service.
DE-CIX Munich currently has almost 200 connected networks and it has doubled it's peak traffic in the past 12 months. Last week, we reached a new all-time peak of 96 Gigabits per second (Gbps).
Equinix’s new data center HH1
On the other side of Germany, in Hamburg, we have a new enabled site in Equinix’s new data center HH1. Hamburg has a strong digital economy and there is a growing demand for interconnection services. By widening our reach, we can offer our entire range of interconnection services to new customers. DE-CIX Hamburg connects 200 networks and traffic has grown almost 200 percent this year from peak of 40 Gbps to 120 Gbps.
