DE-CIX Istanbul is celebrating its fifth birthday this year. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the celebrations and our annual DE-CIX Istanbul Summit went virtual. The summit was moderated by CNNTürk’s Cem Seymen at CNNTürk’s studios in Istanbul on 19 November.
Being interconnected was the topic of our 5th DE-CIX Istanbul Summit, sponsored by Türk Telekom and Microsoft. Experts from across the industry joined us to discuss the latest trends and insights directly from the heart of the Turkish interconnection community. Thank you for joining us and, if you missed it, you can catch up by watching the recording (in Turkish only).
New all-time peak
Last Wednesday, our exchange in Istanbul also reached a new all-time traffic peak of 211 Gigabits per second, crossing the 200 Gbps limit for the first time. The neutral interconnection and peering point gives access to a variety of networks via various data centers across Turkey, including Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa, and İzmir.
